From navigating polarized opinions to maintaining inclusivity in tense conversations, this course is a blueprint for building bridges in even the toughest spaces.
The Practice of Street Epistemology
Theory is vital, but it’s practice that truly makes the difference. That’s why BridgeMakers hosts weekly Street Epistemology events, where participants engage in friendly debates, starting with lighthearted topics like “Pineapple should be on pizza” or “Ice cream tastes better in bowls than cones.” These fun and low-stakes conversations lay the groundwork for diving into more polarized topics, like cultural norms, politics, or ethics.
The goal isn’t to win arguments—it’s to hone the ability to ask thoughtful questions, remain open to diverse perspectives, and explore beliefs collaboratively.
